Haryana Solar Policy 2016

Recently Haryana has released its new Solar Policy dated 3 March 2016 effective from the date of notification. The policy promotes both Ground mounted and Solar Rooftop installations. The Solar Purchase Obligation is also hiked to 3% by 2021-22, which may further increase to 8% under the ambitious plans of MNRE to promote Solar Generation by adding 100 thousand MW of Solar Power Nationwide, This would mean the installed capacity in Haryana would rise up to 3200 MW. Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company to Launch a 750MW Solar Power Project

Three entities viz. Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited(MPPM), Delhhi Metro Rail Corporation(DMRC) and International Finance Corporation(IFC) have come together to announce a tender for a 3 X 250 MW solar project in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. MPPM, which holds all power distribution companies in the state of Madhya Pradesh, will buy most of the power generated by the proposed project, but quite interestingly DMRC will benefit around 363 million units of power per year from the proposed project, through an open access route.
